// the problem

Neil's work spans admissions, investing, and company-building: four ventures that are really one instinct. A standard portfolio would have flattened that into a bulleted list. He needed a site that felt as considered as the thinking behind it.

// the approach

Build a single scroll-narrative in real 3D. An ambient particle field that assembles into structure, an interactive cube where each face is a venture, and an animated timeline that traces the through-line of his career. Motion in service of the story, never decoration.

// what i built
  • A WebGL particle field (React Three Fiber) that drifts, then assembles into a wireframe cube
  • An interactive CSS-3D cube, one venture per face, drag or arrow to turn it
  • An animated SVG timeline where a marker rides the path from TJHSST to Goldman Sachs as you scroll
  • A single deliberate scroll with reduced-motion fallbacks, tuned so the 3D never gets in the way of reading

Live at neilkothari.co. A personal site that reads like a product, and proof that a custom build can carry real 3D without turning into a tech demo.
